And Hereeeee We Go....... Giants Vs. Dodgers

It's the team everybody expected to enter September with the best record in the majors locked in a dead heat tie with the team nobody expected, including yours truly. The Dodgers and Giants enter their final series of the regular season knotted up at 85 wins and 49 losses a piece. Tied for first in the NL West with one month remaining in a fight to avoid the dreaded one game wild card playoff. With the Padres making themselves a non factor over the month of August the NL West is up for grabs.

With a rivalry that began in Upper Manhattan and Brooklyn New York it doesn't get much better than this. The season series is currently split at 8 games a piece and wait for it, each team has totaled 68 runs against their arch rival on the year. The fact that the 2021 series is that dead even is mind blowing. Hell, rarely are the Giants and Dodgers even competing for the NL West Pennant at the same time.

The Dodgers are coming off of a 3 game sweep of the Atlanta Braves while the Giants dropped 3-4 to the red hot Milwaukee Brewers only avoiding the sweep with some 8th inning heroics in yesterdays day game at Oracle Park. Good news for the Dodgers they won't be facing the Giant's ace in Kevin Gausman nor will they face Logan Webb who pitched yesterday. Depending on what source you check you are either going to see David Price (3.88 ERA) or Corey Knebel (3.52 ERA) taking the mound against Anthony DeSclafani (3.38 ERA) for the Giants.

Needless to say this is going to be a September to remember and I'm not pushing Toyotas.
