With the Detroit Pistons in a full rebuild it appears that Derrick Rose is on his way out to make room for the youngsters on the roster. According to Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic both sides agreed mutually Saturday to allow Rose to be dealt to a playoff contender. Rose who hasn't seen the floor for a variety of reasons since Jan. 30th when they tipped off against the Warriors is all for being dealt.

While it appears that the Knicks are the front runners to land the former league MVP (contenders?) the Clippers have also reacehed out and expressed interest. Knicks current head coach Tom Thibodeu most recently coached Rose while with the Timberwolves and the two have an admiration for each other to say the least.

What does this mean for the Warriors? That I do not know as we have no idea what the asking price may be. I honestly do not think it will be much, young bench players maybe a late draft pick as it appears the Pistons would like to move Rose's expiring contract. I do know however outside of Draymond, Steph and maybe Looney the Warriors lack that veteran presence especially within the second unit. Just think Iguodala and Livingston. The Warriors do still have the salary cap exception to use that they got for the Klay Thompson injury giving them a little, and I do mean a little, flexibility financially. I'm not Bob Meyers but I know I'm definitely picking up the phone if I were. Rose to the Warriors? It's not out of the realm of possibility.
